Great image. I love the vertigo-inducing sense of scale.

It's as if Escher and Giger had a baby. In my more morose and exhilarated moments, I imagine that places like this really exist, somewhere in the universe.

WOW! I'm Blown Away by your comment! What high praise! To have anyone compare my art to these two legends in one breath is more than I could have ever dreamed! Thank You So Much!

You're welcome. Well, in my opinion, I see a little bit of each artist in the image, whether it was intentional or not. Escher because if this thing was real, you'd see this massive construct stretching out for miles (and the grids of openings makes it look urban, like stacked buildings) and the eye would see geometry that probably wouldn't make sense. There's this clash in the image, sort of, where the right angles and walls then oppose but still compliment the circular areas. And it's these round apertures that make me think more of Giger, because his stuff is usually rounded organic, and some of these appear disturbing, some implying that they might go to threatening or dangerous places.

It's a fascinating piece of work, especially since you gave it to us at such high resolution, one that keeps my eyes going everywhere, looking into every shadowy opening or corner, imagining what might be inside it. Fractals tug at the soul or our core more than most art, I feel, because there's something hauntingly familiar to them, being as they're everywhere.

This so happens to be one of my favorite styles! I love the detail and ornate curves, boxes and hidden places myself! If you take at look through my gallery you will see I revisit this style over and over! Not so much in this type of bulb, but the "Ornate" Style itself! I even have a seriesI called "ORNATE". It, like fractals themselves, is very addicting to me!
